Just heard that one the $100k finalist got send home from the grand and kicked out of the ATA for shooting a rabbit on the Grand grounds. Any truth to this, or is just and gossip story?

I don't know the cirmcumstance, but if true this seems a bit extreme.

It was too hot for rabbits to be out running around down there. Only the trapshooters could be seen outside.

If it happened and he did it on purpose he should have been arrested.

It 's not Wabbit season. Wonder if it was a 27 yard Wabbit?

real rabbit, no one said if it was bugs bunny. I don't know if it was in the camp ground, on the practice field, sporting clay range, or god forbid trap line.

I'm withholding the name until its confirmed.

I hear now its a 90 suspension by the ATA for shooting a rabbit on goverment ground out-of-season. He will not be allowed to participate in the $100k shoot off, and is in fact returned home.

I wonder how long and when the wabbit season is in Illinois?

Do they have tags you have to purchase like deer season?

BTW, don't think I've EVER HEARD OF RABBIT SEASON!!!

I don't think there is one for private property owners. The curx of this one is its on Illinois state land.

Out where I live, and in the words of my Grandpa..."anything that is a threat to the garden dies, especially rabbits"...words to live by...unless you buy all your food from the local big box grocery store in Chicago, where apparently beef, chicken and other fine meats fall from the sky.
