    As promised, I ran a string of 5 shots today with a 1 oz. (438 g) load using a DownRange Versalite Wad.

    Hull = Rem. STS
    Primer = Winchester 209
    Powder= Red Dot......18.0 gr.
    DR Versalite Wad

    Crimp measurement average was .068.

    Each load was hand weighed.....powder and shot. Once fired STS hulls were used.

    This proved to be a pretty hot load but could be reduced for 16 yard or even HCP use.

    PRESSURE

    AVERAGE = 10198 FPS

    LOWEST PRESSURE = 9750
    HIGHEST PRESSURE=10460
    HI-LOW SPREAD=710

    VELOCITY

    AVERAGE=1249

    LOWEST=1244
    HIGHEST=1257
    HI-LOW SPREAD=13
    SD=4.6 EXTREMELY CONSISTENT VELOCITIES

    Don't throw those Versalites away. They can be used very effectively in a one ounce load as well as in longer range loadings. Best of luck to you. Hope to see you on the line.
