I have an ounce load that I've shot for the last three or 4 years that I really like and grinds targets out of my TMX with a 28 thou. choke. It isn't pushing 1300 fps though.

Rem. STS or GC hull, Cheddite primer, DRXL-1 wad, 18 gr. of Red Dot and 7 1/2 shot of your choice.

    Shoot well,
    Steve

thanx for the info, I have loaded 19 gr of 700x in AA plastic that seems to work fairly well but I mistakenly used some 1 1/8 Remingtons @ 1300 fps the other day at a registered hndcp before I read the book, 1300 fps is only legal with 1 oz so I was a bit red faced as I won the event and had to throw my score out.I would love to figure out a legal 1oz up to 1310 fps which is legal and really quick
    thanx Pete

Check out Hodgdon's International Clays. A bit more expensive but a nice powder.

Truxx, I don't know what yardage you shoot from , but I shot some of the ounce loads I mentioned above from the 26 yard line the other day and was very happy with the speed and target breaks. Not really sure you could tell the difference between the 12 and 13 hundred fps loads.

Remington hulls, Winchester primers, Remington TGT-12S (or Downrange clone), one ounce of shot, and about 19 grains of Hodgdon Titegroup.

Should give you about 1300 fps.

Use good hard shot like Remington.

I drop 16 grns of Promo, using cheddite primers (approx 1130 fps). Excellent for 20vds or less. bump it up to 17.2 grns beyond that(1175 fps). Have no idea why to have it higher that either of those 2 shells personally. Staying into the stock is more critical than speed. Promo ($10.50 a lb)is a good cheap powder as are cheddite primers ($23 per 1000). Reload costs are $3.80 a box for 12g.

    What timb99 said for Titegroup.

Titewad, tournament load - it deliver's a knock-out punch. With a Mod. choke from the 16, it's all smoke.

    1 oz. 7 1/2's
    Fed. hull/primer of choice
    Titewad 20.7grs.
    CB2100 (12SO clone)wad
    1300fps. approx.

Check the Hodgdon site and Alliant site for verification of your load data.

Tim, I agree that the Remington hard shot is a good choice, but I have been shooting Eagle shot all year long and find it to be just as good at about 4bucks a bag cheaper. Not only that, it's almost impossible to find Rem. shot here in Central Nebraska.

    1290fps and soft shooting.

This is my first One Ounce Load and I love it.

Winchester hulls, Winchester primers, Remington TGT-12S (or Downrange clone), one ounce of shot, and about 22 grains of Hodgdon internationals. I've used this load for years for sporting clays, 50 yard targets with .15 comp-chok break very well...

    Shoot well,
    Roger

After taking the twin 2 yd reductions, I thought 1-1/8 loads were overkill. At the recent Cardinal shoot, I shot 100 1oz. 7-1/2 @ 1290 fps.at handicap with .028 restriction. Wow was I impressed. Hardest hitting trapload I have ever shot!!

Clyde, glad to see a fellow convert to 1 oz. Just for giggles, drop your loads down to 1175, and report back to me. Mike

Clyde, don't know if you noticed, but that's the choke I shoot from the 16yd. line on back. My fps is just over 1200.Very impressive breaks. TMX choke#7.
