The wife is from Rush Center area, also lived in Garden City. She would love to come with me as her parents and brother are buried in Alexander close to Rush Center. She has not visited the gravesite for years. Since I will be retired, I may make it

For CubanCigar . . . . I was born and raised at Nekoma . . . 6 miles east of Alexander and went to high school at Alexander.

You didn't do all the math . . . You could pick up a new 391 Beretta ($1000)on Saturday and we will feed you supper ($8). And the $1000 bill will bring at least $1200.

So now you are up $1408 + all the brownie points with your wife!

Call me and we will find you a nice room closeby.

Find somebody with a private aircraft. You can land at the gun club and park the plane next to field #1. Jimmy Borum

Franko - did you know her dad " Junior J Horacek" He lived in Alexander just a couple years before he died. Retired from KN, he hung around with a guy named Jake. Loved horses - How about Dave and Harriet at the Rush Center Bar ( Dave passed a couple years ago according to Harriet and I think she sold it

For CubanCigar2000. I was agent for the Santa Fe at Alexander 1956-64. Jake Funk worked on the section out of Rush Center and was a coon hunting buddy with Jerry Horacek . . . . Is that who you refer to as Junior J?

Jerry was a great guy . . . . kind of a jack-leg veterinary - He used to come up and help my Dad with our old Jersey. This was in the 30's when my Dad was trying to feed 7 of us kids on a $1 a day . . . when he could find work. Jerry would doctor the old cow and take eggs, cream or whatever as his pay.

One day Jake came to work all out of sorts . . . . "That damn Jerry, I sold him a fine hound last year that was blind in one eye. Traded back yesterday and he never told me he is blind now in both eyes!"

I don't remember your friends from the Rush Center tavern.

Hey, come down and shoot with us!

Jerry was Junior j's brother, Junior retired and bought the house across the street from Jerry, we inherited it and 25 acres across the highway. Should have moved there but the wife sold it all
