hmmm...I never think about it in terms of boxes. But I have no trouble coming up with 20,000 shells a year between skeet (all gauges), trap, 5 stand (when I do it), spring and fall league, and practice every saturday and sunday that a registered shoot doesn't interfere, LOL.
I am more concerned with how many boxes of shells I shoot well each week. I do shoot around 15,000 registered birds a year and around 24 boxes, in 4 box sets, well each year.
As much as can be afforded 8 last week and this week ATA and 2 each week practice. Before that it was just 6 to 8 and I see 200 bird events most of the summer for the Mrs. and myself 2 times a month plus league.
When I shot well I shot Tue.-Wed.-Thur.night.And I shot four to six rounds a night. Then shot registered targets at a State Shoot or just Sunday at a one day shoot.Monday night I had to load and do yard work.LOL.
I can shoot a case in a day for practice, that is the max, usually 7 to 10 boxes a weekend. If there's a match, it's half dozen to a case practice, then whatever the match requires.
Good thing I like to reload.
About nine boxes a week. During the months of March, April and May I will be fishing on one of my normal fishing days. LOL Love catching those specks. Jackie B.
The Silver Dollar is currently open 7 days a week and I shoot every day unless something comes up like a doctor's appointment or something similar.
For practice, I shoot at least 4-5 boxes per day, more on the weekends and, of course, more if there is some kind of shoot.
My wife is also shooting, but still works during the week, so I have to come up with an equal number for her on the weekends.
Good thing I reload on a Spolar!
