I saw once a company that made a soft case/cover for a hard gun case. I wondered if this would be beneficial when sending your gun on an airline. Anyone know or remember who makes such a thing?
If you have an Americase, they have properly sized cordura covers ready to go. It keeps the gun case kind of generic looking, which is good when you travel around strangers. It definitely keeps the leather back seat in my Mercury protected.
You are probably looking for Big Sky Case Covers. I have attached a link to a cached page from when they were still in business to give you a starting point. Jim, the owner, has stopped making the covers on a regular basis, but if you send him an email or call him, he will most likely make a case for you. He has done it for others.
Here's the link in case it doesn't work above:<a href=http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=big+sky+case+covers&d=5053252440298129&mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&w=73d3e5fb,895e33e1>
Thank you guys. I think it was the Big Sky Case Cover I was thinking about so I will try to contact him & if I can't, I'll check out the Americase deal.
thanks again guys,
jim
