Yes, since Jeff took it upon himself to "out" me, I did get these sets from Remington.

If you do buy them from Remington, the total for a set is $76.95, including shipping, not $58. With that, it is a complete crapshoot on getting a set that matches. I bought these 5 "sets" at a time, then matched them up ALOT better than you'd get from Remington, since they would just grab any stock and any forend, throw them in a box, and ship them to you. I also very closely inspected these stocks and forends, ensuring that there aren't any "factory seconds" mixed in (so far, I've had to return 2 forends, one that the finish was crap, and one that was split, both on my dime).

I do think that the fact that you get a "matched set", of your choice, that has been pre-inspected by a shooter, not a shipping clerk, does have some intrinsic value.

Also thought I'd share the "thoughtful" PM Jeff sent me.

"what you are doing is chicken shit and I will call you on it every time I see it. Jeff"

Jeff, until this point, I had incredible respect for you and your vast knowledge of firearms and shooting, but all that respect is gone. To go on another shooters thread, who's just trying to make some shooting money, and try and scuttle any possible sales, is just plain wrong. I hope no one does the same to you the next time you try to sell any of the many items you sell through this website!

Ian, If what you are doing is not chickenshit then why do you consider yourself to be "outed"? I suspect because you know it's chicken shit. Shooting money? Is that why you have a link to your website? Ian you are running a business and making an obscene profit on fellow shooters who think this is a place where they can deal with confidence. That is chickenshit. I tried to tell you in private that I thought you were chickenshit and it was you who made it public! P.s In case you have not noticed over the years i do not give a tinkers damn about what you or anybody else thinks of me. You lack principles Ian and that is a sad thing to see in a young man. Jeff

Jeff- Since you see fit to impune my integrity, I feel obligated to respond.

Yes, all my business ventures are to earn shooting money for myself. I don't feel that the fact that I have a professional website has anything to do with it. I offer quality products at reasonable prices. Am I out to make a profit on the things I sell? Of course. Not too many people out there sell items to loose money. Obscene profit? I guess that's your opinion. I don't consider $48.05 to be obscene for the service I provide, but your entitled to your opinion. Do you think that when you go to the hardware store, or the car parts store, or anywhere, that they are selling you items for cost?? As you stated before, if anyone wants to go buy these sets and save themselves 50 bucks, they are free to do so. However, I said before, the chances of the matching are slim to none, and the possibilityof having to pay to return defective/damaged products is there.

"I tried to tell you in private that I thought you were chickenshit". Based on this sentence, I see that this is a personal issue to you, which absolutely baffles me. Your first post, and PM, referenced this as you taking issue with my "actions", however, your second message attempts to shift gear and make this a personal attack. As far as I know, you and I have never had a business transaction.

I have been a member of this site for a number of years (I'd guess close to a decade), and have conducted, rough guess, over a hundred purchases and sales through this site. I defy you to find ANYONE else on this site, or otherwise, who would agree with you that I lack "principles". I'm sure you could find dozens of people on here who are quite satisfied with the transactions they've made with me over the years (the oldest sent message I have in my email is from august of 05,,,and it was in reference to a ts.com transaction).

If David (the sites owner), or ANY of the moderators, of which I believe there are a few, take issue with anything I've done, they can always contact me directly, but since, as far as I know, you are not a moderator, your opinion really has no more value than anyone elses.

P.S you forgot to add that as long as you bought 75.00 worth the freight was FREE so yes.... 58.00 was the price YOU PAID and Remington will gladly send you another forarm if the one you bought is chipped/scratched or broken in any way. D you think that the average member here is so stupid Ian that they would pay 76.00 and change rather then just adding another item on and getting free freight instead? It's interesting that you had to pay freight back as remington never charges me freight back when the item they shipped is flawed. Maybe it's because you are a business? Jeff

Yes, there is free freight on orders over $75, I had forgotten about that.

RE: Freight. I never even thought to ask for a call tag for the forend, I just sent it back for a refund, I think it cost me 5 bucks or so...

If anyone still wants to buy these sets from me, great, if not, and they want to order from Remington, that's fine too. I'm sure I'll have no trouble selling the remaining sets I have. If you are going to order from Remington, do it quickly, as I'd guess there aren't too many of these sets left.

Jeff- I don't hold a grudge, so please feel free to contact me in the future if there's anything I can do to help. I have had a couple headbutting sessions with ts.com members in the past LOL, but it always worked out in the end, and life is too short to get worked up over something like this....

Jeff- If anyone feels they are being "screwed", they are free to express so with their funds. As I said before, if they want to buy from me, great, if not, no worries. Just make sure the next time you sell one of your SX-1's, not to sell it for a penny more than you paid,,,,otherwise you risk hypocrisy (sounds eerily like a liberal argument,,,you are trying to make profit on something, so that naturally makes you a "bad guy").

I'd hazard a guess that both of our ratio of "for sale" threads to "shooting" threads is probably pretty close to the same, although my number of overall posts is probably much higher, as I am on this site ALOT (its my homepage). Yes, I do sell quite a number of items on here. More often than not, they are items from my personal collection that I no longer need, as I'm sure the case is the same with you. And we both do our share of helping other shooters with questions, contributing to discussions, ect as well...

Pretty sad that you can't carry on a civil conversation, and when I don't get all upset, and start name calling and trying to belittle my opponent like you probably hoped I would, and have resorted to yourself, the only thing you have to resort to is threats.... Really says alot about your "principles".

I've been buying and selling these on ebay and gunbroker too although for less then he is charging. I have avoided selling these on forums and have even posted where they can be bought on some. I have bought about 18 sets to sell and replace older gunstocks of mine. All have been in perfect condition from remington and they all match very well. I'm going to call BS on that. However, this is capitalism and he is free to sell for what ever he can get. I however didn't want to take advantage of people on this board or to point out what he is doing on here or on shotgunworld-Kenny

Ian I posted the post I deleted before reading your post that said this.eff- I don't hold a grudge, so please feel free to contact me in the future if there's anything I can do to help. I have had a couple headbutting sessions with ts.com members in the past LOL, but it always worked out in the end, and life is too short to get worked up over something like this.'

you got a chance to read that thread and I suspect you were one of a very few as it was only up a minute or two. Hit and run is leaving it up for hours or days and then deleting it. Like a liberal you seem to have a way of twisting what ever you can to make it look favorable or at the very least justified.

Ian, If you think what you are doing is ok then you and I do not agree and I will leave it at that. I tried to delete that post in an effort to let it drop and not further inflame. I don't know how you could have come to any other conclusion then that but as my farmer friend Bill Jones always says... " The pig that squeals loudest is usually the one caught in the fence.

39+19=58.00 plus free freight = 58.00 Because you bought more then 75.00 worth. As far as your sales tax it has nothing to do with what you paid for the item. Unless we live in that state we don't have to pay that tax. Ian are you trying to tell us that those for-ends are the 29.00 models or the 39.00 models? I think that anybody who bothers to go to the link I provided will not believe that.

Just come clean and admit you have been sticking the guys for nearly 100% for your rare ability to " match stocks up" Have you not learned from all the Hollywood people that it is just best to stop lying and tell the truth? These guys will all forgive you Ian because you are young and greedy and have not learned to not shit where you live yet. How will the people at the trap /skeet club feel about the 100% hosing you are putting on them? Will they still consider you a friend? OR do you think they will consider you somebody who is not to be trusted? I will guarantee you Ian that there isn't a single vender on this site that is making 100% on a product that is not also a manufacturer.

Jeff- Here is a screenshot of the order receipt I received from Remington. I had to pay sales tax due to the fact that I live in the same state that Remington does business in.

BTW, guess my deal isn't all that bad, since even after all this derision, I just now received a call from a gentleman who'd like to purchase one of these sets.

#19 ·
Jeff, after what you have pulled here, I wlll make sure that I never make a purchase from you, as if it makes any difference to you. What another man asks for an item is none of your business or anyone elses. If the price it too high, nobody will buy it, plain and simple. If soneone were to ask you to buy their gun for a hundred dollars because they needed the money, and you knew that you could turn it for a three hundred dollar profit, would you do it? Bet ya wouldn't sell it for a "nominal" markup, would ya?

Around these parts a person that does what you did is called a "RAT", and is gonna have to keep moving to avoid the hangin noose.

And, you have a nice day also.

Since Ian wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the ass here is a copy of the post where I made" similar comments" on one of his threads. Pretty rough comment I made Ian! I used to see you as somebody with no moral principles at all but I know that you are a liar and a spin doctor as well.

Maybe you should advertise on this site. Just a thought. Jeff

Boy that was a terrible comment! Jeff
