Being right handed with a left master eye I have been advised to purchase an item
called a Hi Viz Cross Eye Eliminator which is stuck to the end of your rib behind
the front bead. Apparently they also can have fluro colored inserts at the front of this device. Has anyone used these or any other devices that work ok? Do I need to buy the one with the fluro attachment or is this only helpful in dull
light? I mainly shoot skeet with a Remington 1100 12g Sporting model. I hope all people reading this have a Happy & Safe New Year. Brian Reid.

To eliminate "cross sighting" try a "Uni-Dot" front sight. I used one for several years, but no longer have the cross sighting problem so no longer need it.

They have a hollow tube with a bright sight on the front end. You need to order according to the width of your rib just behind the front bead for the best fit. No need to remove the front bead to use the Uni-Dot. My guess of the current price is about $30 US.

The sight blinder devices only work if your dominate eye is not totally dominate. Try and find some one who has one or tape a card or stick to the side of your rib. If you only can see the side of the barrel while focusing on the target the blinder will not work for you. If this is the case, you should give shooting left handed a serious try.

I too like the Vari-Brite-Site III. This sight has a channel rather than tube. So if you need to be looking down on the rib to get the right Point of Impact, you can still see fiber optic bead.

Save yourself some heartache. You have three basic choices. Learn to shoot left handed, close your off eye, or block the off eye using tape/dots/whatever. Everything else is a band-aid, and likely to stop working at some point in the future... at which point, your scores will plummet.

Suggest watching Phil Kiner's DVD. He has a very good explanation on this subject.
