My TMX has factory choke tubes. I use .028 for 16 yard and .036 for 27 yard Handicap. I had a Browning Citori with .020 and it was just right for the first shot of Doubles.
In contrast to Mac V, I don't know anyone who shoots with such a choke from 25 yards and hits much. I don't even know any who shoot singles and win with a choke like that.
An easy fix would be back boring some out to .740, leave the choke alone, and suddenly you're choked by .028" for a respectable Imp.Mod./light full or maybe a tad more back bore and reach .030".....Bob Dodd
The under side of the barrel will show the factory boresize in metric like 18.4 mm is .724 inches. The barrel has obviously been altered but Not by a known barrelsmith like Wilkinson, or Eyster or Allor; they wouldn't open a TMX choke to result in only .020 constriction
B Dodd good point; but this gun is for sale at Jaqua`s and is already backbored by Wilinson. And I don`t shoot a mod at any yardage. Like Mr Little stated Trap is a full choke game. Hot, effective core. Maybe it could be screw in choked for more $$$$
Indiana Gun Club had a very nice Perazzi TMX-L last winter and the choke was .020 done by Tom Wilkinson .
