A lot of the less than premium Remington shells are fitted with Cheddite primers. I find this to be true in the 12 and 20 ga gunclubs/sportsman shells.
You can reload them using any standard size primer with no problems.
Its an OEM primer not available to the public. Any primer will work, just match the rest of the recipe to it (I use CCI in the 12ga 20ga and 28ga just b/c thats all that was available 3 years ago and i've just stuck with it, and i use winchester in the .410).
Had trouble in my K-80 with fiocchi primers, changed fireing pin and no more trouble. Just maybe?
