Years ago when I was living in Gunnison Colo I had a fabulous weekend of hunting. I killed a huge cow elk, trophy mule deer, which I had mounted, and this black bear which had come into our camp to eat the elk and deer. It is a black bear but cinnamon in color. It’s a beautiful rug that has been in storage for years and in great shape. No rub marks and long rich coat. The rug measure 5 ft from nose to tail and 4 ft across at front paws. I have looked on the web to find prices but they were sky high. I want to sell it and looking for fair estimates from you guys. I have not put on ebay and will not if I get intelligent fair answers and offers if any of you are interested. I tried to post one pic and if that does not work I can email you a number of excellent photos. Thanks Jim Well I thought I had the photos but they do not show up :(

Seeing it costs about $500-$600 to have a rug made...$1000 or more for the hunt...I've was offered $1200 each, for a couple I still had at the taxidermist, someone who just walked in off the street. I didn't sell. It was my first archery bear and my dad's first archery bear.

The bear was done by Taxidermist in Denver not Jonas. It has a great lush coat. Some of the fur has to be 4 to 5 inches long. The hide has one area on the front left shoulder that has split but it has been in a black bag for years.Would be happy to send you pics no PM as yet TY.
