He may have been popular in Ohio, but to the rest of the country, he was a constant thorn in the side of NRA and set the stage for what we have to deal with today. Goodbye & good riddance.

Metzenbaum was a RABID anti-gunner and hard core LIBERAL. His famous statement that "if he had the power he would ban them all" was quoted many times by gun rights groups. He was one of the biggest enemies of gunner owner rights that ever walked! No hateful comments about his death(the man's already gone so that won't help), but NO certainly no tears either!

My buddies and I hoisted some beers last night and wished that bastidge a merry time in hell. Good riddance indeed. If we're lucky dead anti-gunners will come in threes. Though I hope my home remodeling and backyard is done by the time Sarah Brady takes a dirt nap. I'd like to throw a Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead party.

Yah know, I had a pimple on my butt once and I miss that just about as much as I will miss old gun grabber Howard who by the way tried to get his son in law the TV lawyer dude elected to replace him. Joel Hyatt who by the way lived in Kansas at the time. Sort of like Hillary buying her Senatorship in New York or that young Kennedy who is representing Rhode Island!. By the way 'Good ol Howard' was a lawyer for the Commies way back when! Where is his grave? I want to go pee on it!!!

Hmmm, now then if Chuckie Schumer,Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Teddy Boy,Harry Reid, Richard Dailey, McCarthy, Obama, Hillary, Opra, Feinstein,Bloomberg et all could just do the right thing and fall off the face of the Earth then the world would be a better place. I apologize for missing some of the other commie pinkos but it is late! As an old coworker would say " they are all a big waste of skin"! Bill

Where in the hell do these guys come from that think we should not bad mouth howard the grabber?

Remember boys, if howard had his way you wouldn't be reading TS.Com.

THERE WOULDN'T BE A TS.Com BECAUSE THE CRAZY OLD BASTAR*D WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE VERY WEAPON YOU USE FOR THIS SPORT.

DUH!

I don't understand all you people that can't show respect for someone that has passes on. Just because the man didn't have the same beliefs as others does not mean he was not a human being. You Republicans like to tell everyone how moral the Republican party is. Thanks for proving the point.

Frank ....the guy swore an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution when he took office. That is either a formality of taking office or it means *hit. I wasn't aware that you get to pick only those sections of the constitution you agree with. It is a shame we don't have recall and initiative in the Federal Government. We'd be rid of a lot of this vermin, when they step on their di*ks....urine is good fertilizer. I'm sure Howie would like the grass to grow nicely on his last resting place in the landfill....

If my memory serves me Howards political success was largely due to senior citizens.

He hit the Social Security thing hard assuring that as long as he was in office seniors had nothing to worry about.

Also, didnt he and John Glenn have a bitter political race, or am I thinking of someone else???

The weak U.S. dollar is the biggest contributor to the high fuel prices we are experiencing. The dollar doesn't have the buying power that it use to. Word on the street is that drug dealers are really feeling the pinch from their suppliers in central america regarding this very situation. Soon you will see drug dealers are only going to accept Euros for payment. NO Euros? No problem dealer will be able to 'exchange' right there on the spot for 20% of course.

Remember the change dispensors? Invest now, there may be a run on these things . . .

I guess we need to print more money to make the U.S. dollar worth more? Or maybe the government should borrow some more money, that probably will help the value of the dollar.

Gentleman, I never said you had to like the man or even like his politics but to wish him good riddance upon the mans death? That's simply insensitive to another human being and to his living family. I just wonder how some of you would feel if anyone said that about a member of your family regardless of the issue? I'm sure most of you would be upset?

I never agreed with Howard Metzenbaum positions on the second amendment or much anything else. Nor do I agree with much with Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein, Kennedy, Kerry etc but I don't wish their deaths, nor will wish them good riddance when they die! Instead of wishing their deaths why not pray for their souls and the good will for their living families. Maybe, they finally see the light on the side!
