Does anyone know who does wire catcher/deflector work on SX-1 barrels? I may do some double's shooting with my SX-1 and would like not to throw the empties all over the guy next to me. Thanks in advance for any help.

ec90t: The piano wire is to catch the hulls during single/handicap shooting. A deflector does just that; deflects. I had Stu Wright weld a "nub" on the barrel extension of my Super X-1. This deflects the empties beside the shooter. I do think there is a catcher/deflector assembly that is installed on the side of the receiver. I believe double faced tape is used to secure it. However, if deflecting empty hulls during doubles shooting is the goal; Stu has the answer with this weld. I believe he charges around $40 for this modification. Ed

Thanks Ed!

I had thought about the spot weld after I started the post. I'll give Stu a call later on this week.

I used one of those stick-on catchers on my SX-2 sporting and wasn't all that impressed with it. I have a T&S catcher on it now and thought that I may want to shoot doubles with it from time to time. Needless to say, it won't work for doubles. I never realized how far an empty hull could be thrown until I shot my SX-1. If I was shooting on station 1 the guy on 5 wouldn't stand a chance!
