I'm planning on attending the Grand this year in Sparta. I won't be shooting any of the events but would like to shoot practice rounds especially with guns that I might buy. Is there any restriction on who can shoot practice rounds? Do practice shooters have to be ATA members? What is the cost of a round of trap? Can practice shooters use reloads? And is there a admission fee to the Grand? Thanks
I think you just need to pay & play. The practise is the first traps on the East Shooting Line. $6.00 per 25 & or 12 pr. doubles. 10 tickets for $60.00
All the info is available in Grand Program. ATA web site, program would be an asset !!!
Anyone can buy a practice ticket and shoot, reloads allowed. Not sure on price but I think it's $6.00 per round. No admission fees, nor do you have to be an ATA member. Come and enjoy yourself!
Yes you can shoot practice. They don't check Ata membership to do so. Last year I think practice was 5 or 6 bucks. Remember your eyes & ears as protection is required. May be a shot size & velocity restrictions. If your reloads meet Ata specs there won't be a problem. Although of your shooting somebody elses gun they might want you to use factory shells. Good luck finding that special mate. Lol
Some of the vendors require factory rounds on used gun trials. In the past the larger Gun co. gave you 10 to 25 rounds and a practice ticket when you were trying there guns.
You have to leave your D.L.and go the the practice they tell you.
