Ted, I think you are right, it may hurt some of the clubs.

It should be a club decision if they want to require two days.

I agree with Ted. This new rule sucks. I was going to travel up to Edwards and shoot for the winter chain but I can't afford to go both days nor do I have that much time. No need going on Sunday if I don't have a chance to shoot for the awards. I have talked to several who are in the same boat. I have the feeling the attendance on these winter chain shoots will be way down. I hope not and wish all the clubs well with their shoots. Huntinandhotrods

In light of the recent calls that the CGSTA and the gun clubs have receievd on this matter, we the EC of the CGSTA have decided to remove the criteria that would require the shooters to participate in two days of shooting. we had initally put this requirement in place at the behest of the clubs in an effort to garner more particiaption on behalf of the club. With the gas prices and such being the way they are it is no longer required to shoot both days to be eligible for a Yardage Cahmpion Winter Chain buckle. Hope this helps all involved.

If anyone has anything to ask please feel free to call me. All my info for contact is on the CGSTA Website.

I'd be surprised, since the two-day requirement was separate and distinct from the 4 ATA shoots to hold a Winter Chain event.

Ted, thank you for posting this. See? When Ted speaks, people listen!

Kudos to the EC of the CGSTA for being responsive to the folks who made their case. Well done!
