Just wondering of pet names you guys/gals might have for your favorite crusher....I shoot my 32" Citori Plus that came with a very nice naturally honey blond set of wood,...in a moment of insanity other squadmates started calling it "Honey Boo Boo" as "here comes" from that dumass tv show,..as much as I hate it ..it has stuck...Jeeesh how demeaning for a noble gun!!!
I have a 6.5-'06 P.O. Ackley Improved on a FN Mauser Action w/ a custom stock that was built in 1971. I call her AT&T because I use her when I want to reach out and touch something.
I call my preaent Caesar Guerini WHUPASS 2 It is in the steps of WHUPASS 1 that served it's purpose.
It get's a lot of looks
It is still in training on Long Range Back-ups it has been shooting so tight I had to put in a Improved Modified Choke tube, The Full Choke tube was just too tight. It's 35 yard pattern was unbelievable using #6 shot.
The O/U Bbls did a fantastic job on the International Bunker on her first time out. Plus it handler was a novice on the bunker but she sure drew the crowd on her target snoking ability.
My 870 Tb is known to my friends as "Black Betty", and my oldest TB is known as "Rambo". Black Betty has real dark wood almost black, and Rambo has paint on it as it looks like it went through a war. The last time Black Betty and Rambo won anything was when the Braves were still here in Milwaukee.
Steve Balistreri
"Dottie" (from the movie Armagadon) "She a vicious life sucking B**ch from which there is no escape"
No pictures, but my 682x is named "Missy" (from the results of the very first shot I took with her) and the 391 is "Ramona" (From the movie Scott Pilgram vs. the world) there are others, but That's a taste.
I have a 525 Browning 20 ga that I biught from Dennis Devault. It's made of Burl Myrtle. The first time I brought it to the gun club the guys named it Myrtle and has stuck ever since.
Thad
I do have another old rifle ..a Savage 340 30-30 boltgun that I got very very cheap cuz it was ugly ..I repaired the wiggly front sight and cleaned it well and found it shot pretty darn good...It was my loaner that got the nickname "Rattlin Death" because of all the youngsters that used it to take their first bambis..that gun is truly charmed towards beginners luck..wish it had worked that well for me : P I've never even seen a deer when carrying it
Went to the line and put my 19 year old 682 in the rack next to 2 Krieghoffs and 2 Kolars all with custom wood. As I compared the old Beretta to the these guns, I said, "This must be what it would feel like to show up at the Kentucky Derby with a Mule." So, I guess my pet name for my gun is "Mule," or "Old Mule."
My 30" 1/1000 3200 is called Sweet Pea. She has a bit of a reputation throughout the region as she's been lent out on several occaisions to those in need.
My 32" 3200 Compitition is my favorite girl tho. She's referred to as 32C, and when we're really hitting them good, Hammerin' Harriet.
My son's 1100 is simply Dirty Girl for obvious reasons.
