I have been hearing about Tony DeSimone’s TS-2000 trap guns and their being a carbon copy of the Silver Seitz.

Does anybody have any knowledge of these guns or experience with them?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

A TS-2000 is the ONE of the Best Single barrel shotguns on the Market - just my Opinion. I Own a 34" Full choke fixed Rib TS-2000 With a GREAT Release Trigger that will Grind targets. Lube it a Little and go shoot--Very little upkeep and VERY light recoil And more affordable than a Seitz. JMO Joe Whitehurst joe90t

The heavier the gun, even less felt recoil is detected. With that same gun, a properly fitted to you stock makes felt recoil even less!! To go a step further, my P gun (heavy) with the ProSoft stock has all those features wrapped into one unit!! Without it I'd have to quit shooting competitive targets due to neck/back problems!

Tony's TS-2000 is a dandy gun and can be made heavier and fitted too at a much reduced price!! What's not to love about such a great gun?

Don't know about the rest of you, I've never bought a gun based on resale value. I have bought guns, plenty of them if they were a good value. TS-2000's are good values and should command more than what the market is willing to pay for a used rendition, this can be said for a number of other brands as well. The flip side are the brands who hold an abnormally high resale value compared guns of the same quality, sometimes you can pay more and get less........ The TS-2000 is not one of these.

Shooters,

Tony DeSimone has the guns manufactured by one of the many fine job shops in Brecia, Italy. Just like Perazzi and many others, Tony farms out different pieces to different specialty houses then the final assembly is done.

Granted, there were some issues with the first batch of these guns. Ribs, trigger parts and stocks have been re engineered to better tolerances and now the guns are very well made and tough as an anvil. I would not represent them if they were not...

Part of the weight difference is in the wood. Tony's wood is generally lighter than the dense wood used on the Silver Seitz. I have seen a TS-2000 with a Seitz stock and the weight difference was less than 1/2 pound.

I stock the adjustable rib model. (See website above.)It will shoot from 60/40 to 100% and has a fixed full choke. If you want the pattern opened up a bit Allor, Wilkinson or Briley can do what you want. I have shot a couple of these guns and they are not any more or less prone to recoil than any other single barrel. (Phil, you need to shoot one before you paint everything with a wide brush!)

The guns come with your choice of pull or release trigger. A Negrini case like a Perazzi is included. Philip Crenwelge (Phillip's Gunsmithing) is the service center as is Tony DeSimone. Both have parts available if the need should arise.

All in all at about half the price of the Seitz, this fine trap gun offers a great value for the dollar spent. Tony is in Italy now working out the details on the next batch of guns. If you have any questions feel free to email or call me. 800-684-6329
