Why don

I would like to see More gun Mfgrs that make Adjustable rib Guns have optional replacement Ribs That have Higher More Slope to them.

RE: Browning Citori XT Trap Adj. Rib Gun, Make an Additional replacement rib which is higher in the back and possibly lower in the front.

One rib shoots from 50/50 or 60/40 to 90/10

Another Rib that shoots from 80/20 to 140%.

I bought one of the first XT Un-Singles from Guns Unlimited and it would not make 90/10 POI so I traded it off for a Ljutic.

If an After Market Rib Maker would build an interchangeable rib for the
XT Un-single, and not a stick on rib.

Just the mere design of lower in front rib .100/1000ths lower would really change the POI.

Browning did something like this with their RR & RT Models that were built for Hdcp. But being a fixed rib only a few shooters could handle the higher POI.

And that XT from Guns Unlimited was limited to Straight Stock w/adj. comb.

I wish they built it w/a Monte Carlo Stock Adj.Comb. But not the style w/adjustment through the Recoil Pad. and more adjustable OFFSET so the comb could be moved farther right and left.

Browning could name this gun CITORI XT-PRO MODEL able to shoot 130% high.
With comparable rib on the O/U Models call it the CITORI XT-PRO COMBO.

This I would believe would be a best seller.

And single Bbl only available in 34" Barrells Combo// 34"inch/32"inch O/U bbls.

I bought on of the first Browning XT comb's also....I bought the monte carlo stock and had Greg Hissom cut and install his adjustable comb hardware for the same money they wanted for the factory adjustable comb. Problem solved!!

By the way I had no problem getting it to shoot 100% above the bead at 40 yrds.

If you raise your comb, and don't mind a space between the beads, any gun can shoot as high as you want. 200% high would be no problem.

Your head would be in exactly the same position. The front bead would be about in the same position. The ONLY difference is that with an adjustable rib, you could have a figure "8" with the mid and front bead.

In my opinion... No need to bend the barrel, No need for adjustable point of impact choke tubes, and unless you need your beads almost touching together while your swinging on a target... No need for an adjustable rib.

I think most gun companies have more than answered the average shooters call for fully adjustable high ribbed higher shooting guns. Unless a large body of shooters can convince the gun companies as they've done with present offerings a volume market exists for super high poi guns, then these renditions will be left to the after market specialist.

Anyone, including you Gary can create a drawing and have any general machinist cut and mill a rib to your specifications without the expense of a new gun purchase; also remember all of the cool stuff on current trap guns were born from the shooters and after market craftsmen, you ask, they supply.........

Deadon4: I have taken many a rib to my local machine shop and had it altered to raise the POI For me,

I took .120 thousanths off the bottom of a Beretta Gold E adjustable rib and had the front screw modified for lower adjustment.

And my opinion on the Browing Adjustable comb through the recoil pad is a piece of Sh*t. That adj comb leaves a lot to be desired.

The Beretta Adjustable comb is also a piece of Sh*t.

The BLASER'S AND CAESAR GUERINI have the best adj ribs out there as far as POI
in my opinion, and the Blaser Weight System is the best out there, far better than the Ceasar Guerini.

Silver Seitz saw the need for making different Height of adjustable RIBS, That is why I have their highest the #3. And I have it adjusted to it's highest shooting positions, all the way up in rear and all the way down in front.
