That appears to be marbilized paint from the House Colors. The prep time and work is the key. Need good base coat in black then the color overtop of the black. Many different ways to swirl the blue to get the pattern then shoot it with clear coat for the final finish. Just a guess unless it has been dipped.

I messed around on a bunch of paint schemes, but after looking at the Hydro dip and the price I couldn't pass it up! So if you want to call it cheating I guess thats ok but for $70 and it did not mess any checkering up or fit of any parts going back together it worked great. For 40 years old I have never seen a gift of that age bring a bigger smile to a face! We just got back from practice and she shot it great! It was the talk of the club!

You can base coat it with any color you want then dip it in any pattern and color you want. The combinations are really endless. For this type of look I think it is great. When it is used to make it look like $2000 Turkish Walnut Exibition Grade, not so much. Jon

OMG thats going to be the coolest looking BT in the rack!! I just got an old 1 and stock had been butcherd and reglued. I refilled the hollowed out stock and added a huge bondo palm swell. I also had the comb cut. I have been working on the finishing touches on body work...

I was actually thinking of a paint job very similar what you had done!!!

Now you had it done I gotta figure out something differnt.

That sure is a nice looking gun!

I found this thread awhile back, and liked this finish so much I had my kid try them for a motorcycle tank and side covers. That said, this company has been nothing but trouble. They lost the key to the tank, kept running him around about finish dates and estimates for price. Next thing we know, the stuff was donewithout a price quote, at a price of $600 for a mid size tank and 2 small covers. Offered him $100 of cause they felt bad about the lack of a price quote. While I'm sure the quality of the finish was awesome, $500 was out of the budget and given the opportunity to ponder an estimate, we would have declined. I told them to strip it and send them back. Dude hung up on me, and he's not even the boss. Lots of places doing hydrographics, I'd steer clear of this one. Sorry bout the sour grapes!
