<prepaired for ribbing>
I'm spending a nice bit of quiet time loading up some rounds for Sunday. I changed out the bar from a 1 1/8 to a 1oz so I had to get the powder all settled into the loader so it throws nice consistant loads. I run a couple "Put it back in the bottle" throws just to get it all settled in the bottles. I"m using a single stage so it's Powder.....shot....powder.....shot.
I have two distinctly marked recepticals that I throw the powder into and then weigh it, then throw the shot into and weigh it. Then I dump those recepticals back into the bottles. (You know what's coming don't you?) Yeah......A half bottle of Clays just got about 20 grains of 7 1/2 shot dumped into it.
Do I worry about this? will a little shot in the powder charge hurt anything? I realize if all 20 grains make it into one shell I'm probably going to be severly under powdered, but how would I get the shot out of the powder in the bottle if that's truely what should be done?
<heavy sigh.......> so much for the nice relaxing load time.
