it probably sold "offline"....it was slated for 7 days and it closed only after 16 hours lol....

you can sell the barrels and put the $$ towards a set of new ones and still be significantly under the price of a new MX8 with the drop out trigger selector

Yea, I got it on a three day. I talked to the guy and he sounded like he knew his stuff. We'll see. Personally, I like the 34" barrels with a little weight to them. I bought another MX2000 today as well....34" barrels. I'm always looking to buy sporting guns. Especially P-guns.

Actually, the sporting game is changing. The bigger tournaments I went to this year were primarily long targets. I like long barrels. They point great and if the gun is balanced right the gun moves very well. I know long barrels get a bad rap....mostly from people who never shot them but hear that they are not 'movable'. I move them just fine. I'd rather shoot a 34" gun that handles well as a 30" gun that doesn't.

Yes in general if the gun is well balanced, it should not matter the length of the barrels. But I, personally, would not be able to make 1.78kg barrels swing smoothly. I had 1.66kg and it was good, but I think 1.6kg is perfect for me. Would have liked just a bit lighter.

The 34" barrel thing was a fairly short lived fad in sporting clays, soon followed by the high rib fad, soon to be followed by...?

The weird thing about sporting clays is that the best shooters shoot either a $800 Beretta 391 or a $ 9,000 over and under. Almost nothing in between. Two out of the top five finishers in the National championship last weekend shot a 391.

Probably cause they don't make many $9,000 and up automatics?

One thing about those 34" MX8 barrels, once you got them swinging you aren't going to stop too easy. LOL Look out beside me!!

Digweed famously tried 34" a Perazzi for several years, and everyone followed him, then he ditched them and everyone (famously) ditched their's. a 32" barrel is perfect, just like a 28ga shotgun shell is perfect.

Your MX-8 is one of those so-called gray market guns from Andrew Litt. It will not say Perazzi USA on the barrel. Andrew was selling them for $5,000 into the states for a number of years, I know, I bought two of them from him.

PS--- how about the NAMES of those top ten finishers please (and the scores) thx
