At the end of the week, I'm having Cataract surgery?

I ask long I should wait before I go back to trap shooting. All I got was a blank look.

For those who have had this procedure done, how long did you wait?

Same as above, my Dr. said "about" 2 weeks but he wanted to see me in 10 days just to be sure, checked me over & said I could shoot the next weekend. Everything worked well. Still don't have 20x20 vision but was told in advance that I would not, right eye never developed muscle strength when I was young & nothing could be done now--too late in the game for me--I'm 70. Definitely better glad I did it. --Ross Puls

Actually this has no relation to reassurance. No two people have the same ancillary health issues going in and cannot assume that their recovery time or complications will be remotely the same. Just reading the many different answers the poster has gotten, and will get, so far from 2 days to 2 weeks, should turn on a light in anyone's brain. Ummm, "Dang, maybe I should ask the surgeon this question". We are all individuals and cannot be painted with the same brush, especially if it has bristles missing.

What my doctor told me was the healing process goes in thirds. Most people heal in the top third which can be one to two or three weeks. The middle third take longer and might be up to a couple of months. then there is the bottom third which is the group I fell into which took 6 months, then had and still have 20/20 vision. It all depends on the individual, good luck.
