I'm currently shooting an MX-8 but thinking about changing to a TMX. If you shoot a TMX I'd appreciate your thoughts on the gun. Thanks, Ben

I shoot one and made the foolish decision to put it up for sale one time. Each contestant, and there were many, said "I used to have one and I'm so sorry I sold it as it was the best shotgun I ever had". After a few more comments like that, I came to my senses.

I have a TMX and an MX3 combo. The TMX is built like a tank and works great. I think it is easier to crossfire with the high rib gun but my scores have not borne this theory out when comparing it to the MX3 Single barrel. I currently use the TMX for Singles and Handicap and the MX3 O/U for Doubles. The MX3 single barrel is in backup role in case I ever need it. I have always thought that with a combo gun it is a bit of a challenge to keep the locking block wear in synch between the 2 barrel sets.

I currently have 2 and I have to admit that I have been tempted by the looks of the MX 2000 and 2005. I still shoot mine weekly and have to admit I couldn't get rid of either. My back up gun is my father in-laws TMX. I might be a bit prejudice though. B.Collins

Have had mine for about6 years. Wish I had gotten it 20 years ago. It is a 34", ported barrel, with factory choke tubes. Has 4-way soft comb, and came with a Counter Coil recoil reducer. Wish it was not ported but love the Counter Coil after 200 birds. Smaller forearm is very comfortable for my size hands as is the grip area. Have coil spring release and pull triggers but use the release only. Leaf spring triggers seem to be easier to work on. Love that dropout trigger assembly. There has got to be some Ferrari in the TMX bloodlines. She is not for sale.

12. Perazzi made 50 high shooters for Paciic Sporting (I beliee). those aproached 90% or so. But th balanc of the TMX gun are 60/40 with stacked beads.

I shooot mine occasionally well. I have a different trigger in it now.

I have two TMX's, a special and a standard and have had two prior to these. I have found all of them to be flat shooters 50/50 maybe 60% high for some shooters.

The earlier Tmx's seem to have smaller stock dimensions with a closer reach to the trigger than the later TMX-S. Regardless, they have wonderful dynamics point well are easily repaired if something goes wrong which is rare. Just a great gun.

I picked one off of Merly's table at our state shoot three years ago and shot a 25 straight at the practice trap with it. He then persuaded me to shoot the second hundred of the championship targets with it. I broke a hundred straight. Guess who owns the gun. Merlyn's no dummy. Love the TMX. Has adjustable comb and factory chokes.

Shoot one if you haven't; I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

I just got one about a month ago. It's probably the best feeling and handling gun I've ever shot. I wish I would have had the insight to have obtained one 20 years ago. Mine is a TMX Special with 34" barrel and fixed .035 choke. The previous owner had it Pigeon Ported by Pro Port. The recoil is mild. I would have to agree with ExFedEX the gun handles like a Ferrari.

Hit 'em hard,

I have always liked the looks of the TMX and got a chance to buy one about a year or so ago ... I like the way it feels and with the comb set up mine shoots 100% (15 inches) high ... I ran into a deal on an MX 2000/8 combo set so I parked the TMX and have been shooting the MX-8 which I always liked since way back when ... I will probably use the TMX for a back up or the other way around once the season starts up again out here in the desert ... Both guns shoot 100% high (15 inches) on the grease sheet but I can hold higher with the top single on the MX 2000/8 top single because of the lower rib configuration ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
