Hi, my name is Matt Clark. I have a beretta 390 that I'm looking to put a raise fixed or adjustable
rib on (existing rib is flat sporting 28"). I shoot trap and I have a hard time with raising shots. I average 22. I have used trap specific guns and get 25 regurlarly. Feel free to email me or to reply to this thread with any advice you have for me. Thank you.

Googel Keensite ribs or Add-A-Rib is an advertiser on this website also. Both should be able to help you. They make ribs that stick on your existing rib and while not cheap, they aren't as expensive as a new barrel with a modified rib from Moneymaker.
Do you have an adjustable comb? If you don't have a problem with sight picture that'd be my first step in rasing POI before putting a custom rib on there.
It does not have an adjustable comb currently. I am hopefully geting that done for christmas from my grandfather. I have also found a few people with the trap barrels for my gun. That im hoping to make a deal with one of them.
You might try something like the product linked above. Its a lot cheaper than having a comb cut and will allow you to see if that would solve your problem.
Or a few strips of moleskin along the top of the comb, covered by on whole sheet of moleskin. Almost all of my shotguns have worn it at some point to determine desired POI.
Wait until you get the adjustable comb or build up the comb to even begin worrying about ribs.
If he wants to shoot all games with one gun, telling him to ditch it and buy a trap gun is poor advice in my book.
Raising the rib won't raise the point of impact (make it shoot higher)unless you have the rib tapered from high at the back of the barrel to lower at the front of the barrel. The more the rib slopes downward the higher the poi; this reason for adjustable ribs as you can taylor your poi.
In order to stack the beads keeping the figure 8 relationship, you must adjust the rib accordantly which would be upward. As mentioned, you can raise the comb using stick on pads or other devices without going to the expense of an adjustable comb. You can also raise the the point of impact by raising the comb without adding a rib but you will loose the figure 8 reference which is important to many shooters.
This problem can be solved by adding what's known as a bump. A bump is just a piece of material such as wood, plastic or metal placed over where the mid bead now resides. The higher you move the comb the higher the poi and the thicker the bump needs to be in order to keep the figure 8 relationship. As a trial take a small piece of wood, paint it flat black and push or glue a pin head on it or something else to act as the mid bead. Tape the bump with black tape to your existing rib.
Through trail and error you can find the right poi for you by raising the comb and changing the thickness of the bump.
Your only real investment will be time and you will learn the relationship of point of impact verses point of aim.
