In the day of high gas prices the Ohio Shoot surprised me attendance was up only slightly, 70 shooters but still any increase in attendance with these days of high gas & lead prices. We won't even talk about a near non-existent economy.

Was there for two days could not shoot this year, hell I could not stand that long let alone shoot.

Beautiful weather and the place is continuing to grow with the new vendors buildings, and expanded felicities.

Congratulations: Harland Cambell Jr. Great shooting and it is a real pleasure to watch you, and Leo too shoot.

Harland Cambell - over all - all around - non-resident doubles Championship - non resident handicap champion - doubles class champion non-resident - third in the Rio Handicap - and at least one more.

I have been to the last two and by far, this year, there were more non shooters walking around buying and watching. Ask Roger Brenner how things went for him. Every time I walked by his spot he was busy. Now, it is not only a great place to shoot, but a great place to buy. Brenners, Jaquas, and others, all in one spot, can it get any better anywhere? I say no.

The Cardinal Center is a great place to shoot and has a very nice campground, but where did you get the "beautiful weather" information? I was there, under very dark overcast skies, some rain, wind and chilly temps....I know even Brad can't control the weather, it was what it was, and the weather wasn't "beautiful" in my opinion.

After a three year (unintentional) hiatus from the Ohio state shoot all I can say is WOW. Jack Fishburn has built a spectacular facility and the OSTA did a great job helping run a great shoot.

I would like to thank all those folks that stopped by our vendor spot and purchased items or just said "hello". It was nice to be back in Ohio again and now more than ever I'll do my best to bet back at least once a year.

I was there on Tuesday and Wednesday and the weather was beautiful for Ohio. I will take some wind and overcast skies over the heat and humidity. The weather didn't keep some people from shooting great scores as there were perfect scores in almost every event.

Karla..I think you've been spoiled after all those high 80's temps in Fl...this winter.

I'm guessing you and Leo are at Vern's right now, I'll probably see you both at St. Thomas on tue....

That what I was trying to say Karla It was not a sweat in your eyes while trying to shoot day, maybe one day.

And for some reason it just has to rain during the shoot.

I took the attendance figures from the Stewart site it showed 1,640 shooters in 2010 and 1,710 this year. No way of telling the numbers of spectators. The vendors I talked with had heavier traffic this year it seamed like to them.

Weather was pretty comfortable- only ran the air conditioner at night 2 nights. The couple small showers didn't even get our shirts wet- but I was on the west end and it looked like it was raining harder clear down on the east end at the time. They cleared the line a couple times to let the shower pass.

I agree there were a lot of non-shooters in attendance, way more than normal. I talked to several campers that just came to take in the festivities and see the new additions. Campers all the way down to trap 12, and very few vacancies in campspots. Cars on the weekend filled the lot so full it was difficult to get around with the golf cart. Vendors were many- reminded me of the old days at Vandalia. My son shot for the JD lawn tractor and the Blaser, I shot for the Chevy. Came up empty, but what a thrill.

Fantastic show and great job by those that put it on. We had a wonderful time and made many new friends. Looking forward to the Cardinal Classic.
