Does anyone out there have any plans (or source to obtain plans) for a sliding trap house roof? Our trap club in Yuma, AZ is trying to figure out a better traphouse configuation that would make access for loading targets a little easier for our senior members keeping the traphouse secure enough to protect the equipment while still permitting us to throw legal targets.
you might cosider making the roofs out of metal roofing. Then go to a local auto parts house and look into the gas cylinders used for trunk lids and hoots. We installed them on four traps in 2004 and had had no trouble with them. Extremely lite and can load traps standing up. ED
That's a nice design. The Pats at my home club are about 4 inches from the roof at the front. That makes them hard to load the front 3 or 4 stacks of birds.
Great ideas all. Thanks for your contributions to this thread.
