I would like to know the value of a Smith & Wesson Model 52 .38 wad cutter pistol. I purchased it about 25 years ago and fired about 500 rounds through it. The gun has two factory magazines the original box and is in excellent condition.

Thank you for your help,

Bill Sergent

I sold my 52-1 and my 41 bull barrel when I quit bullseye shooting. I'm embarrassed to say for how little. It was a different sport in the 60's and 70's. My one outstanding memory was our team beating the heavily favored Chicago Police Department team at their range.

Those were the good old day. Richard J. Daley was mayor.

I may buy another. Is it a 52, a 52-1 or a 52-2?

Have pix?

I sold my first one. I was (still am) a serious Bullseye shooter and it was holding me back. I am now a Master class shooter with 45 for CF.

It was accurate but but so hard to shoot well. So many other Masters said same.

To get ahead in BE, you need to shoot a 45 well and the 38 doesnt get you there
