I held a 90T last weekend that had lighter wood than factory and it seemed to help. I was wondering what all could be done to lighten them up a little. If possible. Thanks.

Just as long as you know that your chances of increasing felt recoil are greater lightening a gun. On another note I can't imagine that a difference in weight between wood would be significant enough to tell the difference by holding the gun.

Bryan.... I went from a factory Perazzi stock and forend to a custom made turkish walnut stock and forend. It added almost one pound to the weight of the gun. There can be a BIG difference.... Dan Thome (Trap2)

Cut the barrel to 18", and cut the stock off to 13" LOP. Warning! The gun will swing really fast. You also will be shooting cylinder choke. So you now can snap shoot the bird 10 feet out of the house. You will have a hard time keeping your cheek on the gun, and you will develope a flinch! Perfect solution. Jon

Hollow out the excess wood in the stock, forearm, drill holes in metal everywhere so it looks as though a metalpecker has found bugs in your gun. The lighter the better, try to get it down to around 5 pounds or so too. It will move like lightning,, in all directions then! :)

Wouldn't a few curls/lifts a day with 10 pound dumbbells save you some money and make that gun (feel) lighter to you? If you really want to save a lil cash, 2, one gallon jugs of water will work too. Hope this helps ya out.

They do feel lighter with weight in the buttstock as mentioned above

If you however want to lighten it- you can save a few onces by taking wood out of the buttstock

You could save maybe 3 onces backboring it but the problem there is it already has a 750 bore as I remember so wads might seal if you make it larger than that
