a friend of mine has a Browning 325 or 425, i don't recall with a full set of briley tubes. I'm sure it's priced under 3K. email if you have any interest.
I guess I cant afford a good American made shotgun now, maybe in a couple months. Looks like it will be the Kolar max ts. Although I did like the 1100 competetion with adjustable comb, nickle teflon reciever and lenghtend forcing cones, alot of goodies packed into a nice price. I just have a hangup buying only Amreican made goods.
While I applaud your drive to buy USA, you'll need some more money to get a good O/U. The Remington 1100 or even 870 Wingmaster is a decent enough Skeet gun, but the Kolar is a better choice I think.
I saw a used Kolar for about $6K recently. So, they are not that far off your budget. Just keep looking.
Wow!! I'm shocked our Trap pre Madonna's didn't tell you to go pound sand and post this on a skeet site. Has this site changed. For the better I might add.
Anyway. Sorry, not a fan of Rem 1100's. A pain to clean, fickle in the winter and you'll be picking up shells no matter if your reloading or not. Trying to find hulls in the snow or picking them out of the dirt/mud ain't fun. Stick with an O/U. Better balance. A little heavier for a good swing. Dave T.
If your going to buy a Remington 1100 you are going to have to buy 3 of them. One for singles, one for doubles and one for parts. The rest of the money on Gun Scrubber and Rem-Oil.
Buy a Beretta DT10 and shoot the heck out of it. You will never wear it out. I have a 32" sporting model coming in with a Briley tube set and Americase with extra tubes for around $5000. Good luck with your search.
After many sleepless nights, I am going to give in and buy a browning cynergy sporting w/adjustable comb. I Have shot thousands of rounds through my 1100 at ducks, quial, trap, and now skeet. It seems that without alot of work (extended forcing cones) etc. I am at disadvantage compared to the new guns. Does any know if the briley companion tubes will work in a cynergy?
They make a set of companion tubes to fit them. You just need to tell Briley that you want the tubes for the Cynergy. All companion tubes will not fit them.
Sorry I do not have any High Heels to throw in, but I would throw in an extra stock. I have a Beretta trap stock on it now, and I will also give the original skeet stock. I am sure you can find a used trap barrel for $700.00 and you could shoot trap.
Gee! I didn't know you had to have extended forcing cones to break targets, skeet or otherwise. C'mon Tom, get real, non of those mods will turn a miss into a hit!
best deal is 3200 and take the rest of the money to buy shells and shooting fees
