Some times its better to keep ones mouths shut and be thought a fool, then open it and remove all doubt.

There are some states, like Washington, that have their own State Constitution. The only reason they can, By Law, is the "Wording" has to "Strengthen" the US Constitution!!

But I don't see it as stopping the Stupidity that will hit the floor when the liberal idiots go back to Olympia! There seem to be a more common occurrence(of stupidity) as each year goes by!!

I still have a news paper clipping from some years ago, by a Supreme Court Judge of the State of Washington. It was HIS editorial about being a sitting judge for almost 26 years and that HE had just learned the Washington HAD a Constitution!!!

You can't fix stupid!

Oregon Constitution:

"The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power."

And we have preemption here as well:

2009 ORS § 166.170¹

State preemption

(1) Except as expressly authorized by state statute, the authority to regulate in any matter whatsoever the sale, acquisition, transfer, ownership, possession, storage, transportation or use of firearms or any element relating to firearms and components thereof, including ammunition, is vested solely in the Legislative Assembly.

(2) Except as expressly authorized by state statute, no county, city or other municipal corporation or district may enact civil or criminal ordinances, including but not limited to zoning ordinances, to regulate, restrict or prohibit the sale, acquisition, transfer, ownership, possession, storage, transportation or use of firearms or any element relating to firearms and components thereof, including ammunition. Ordinances that are contrary to this subsection are void. [1995 s.s. c.1 §1]

This doesn't mean we still don't have battles with the liberals and their RINO enablers in the legislature. Some of them, like clockwork, turn in anti-gun bills every session.
