Gun is now sold pending receipt of funds. Listing for my friend's widow a new, unfired, in original box and hard case, a lovely Beretta 687EELL Diamond Pigeon in the great little 28 gauge. This particular gun was purchased by my friend and never fired and I may be the first person to ever assemble the gun for these pictures. Gun was built in 2002 and comes with 28 inch Excelsior barrels (KG 1.20) with factory flush choke tubes (7). Gun has side plates with a pheasant scene on the left side, woodcock scene on the right and scroll work on the bottom of the receiver. Engraving is signed Bottega Giovanelli. Gun has everything that it had with it when it left the factory including the manual, warranty card, hard case, and shipping box. Single selective trigger, pistol grip, schnabel forend and very nice wood. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 1/4 X 14 1/2 over the 1/2 inch original Beretta pad. Weight of this gun is 6 pounds 5 ounces, and it is perfectly balanced. This would make a wonderful upland gun for grouse, quail, or woodcock. Price of this new gun is $4500 plus the actual shipping to your FFL. As always there is a 3 day non-firing inspection period on this gun with the buyer paying all shipping charges if returned. Gun is in perfect condition and I can find no marks on it. Contact me at esetter5@me.com with any questions you might have.

Looks like a sporter to me. has the schnable forearm. It is not a skeet gun. The text does not say anything about the safety, ie: auto or manual. That's a damn good price. go to beretta and see what they go for. I would guess $7500.

Gun has automatic safety and a straight 6mm rib. If it doesn't sell very quickly at this price I'm going to put away and keep it myself. Built on a 28GA frame and balanced perfectly. Older gun with hand engraving.

Hello again.....over the years the amount of hand engraving on these guns has changed, until now it is referred to as "chase" engraving.....do you know what that means? I'm guessing it means a small amount of hand done, maybe around the edges? Any ideas? Thanks, WC

"If it doesn't sell very quickly at this price I'm going to put away and keep it myself."

Which is precisely what you should do at this point, in my opinion, unless the old gal really, really needs the coin.

Although I would not "put it away." I would plan a trip around this gun and take it with me to Argentina. That way instead of "my late friend never shot this gun," you can have "my dad killed 2,500 birds in one day with this gun."
