In the 1980’s, Stuart W. Patenaude thought that there had to be a better way to throw doubles targets. Stuart went to work in his modest workshop. Using parts from an old AMC Pacer and over a year of development, he created the first Pat-Trap® Automatic Doubles Machine. Since that first machine we have strived to continuously improve and engineer the finest traps. Thousands of traps later, Pat-Trap® has emerged as the new standard for the sport of Trapshooting, and is the official supplier to the ATA Home grounds.
Our standard Automatic Pat-Trap® throws both single and double targets. Our Pat-Trap® Wobble version throws singles, doubles, wobble singles, and wobble doubles.
More registered targets are thrown from Pat-Trap® than from any other automatic trap machine!

The KCTA opened at the current Smithville Lake, MO., location after the closure of the old Elliott`s ShootingPark in Raytown in 1986. The roots of the association go back to 1887,when the Elliott family opened their first shooting park in the KansasCity area. On Nov. 27, 1921, Russ Elliott and a handful of local shootersofficially organized the KCTA as a shooting association, supported by aboard of directors and separate from the ownership and management of theshooting facility. |

We at shooting sports software are committed to supplying the shooting sports with the best Windows based solutions for your tournament needs. We plan on introducing systems that will support Trap Shooting, Skeet Shooting, League Shooting, Sporting Clays Shooting and Marathon Events.
We fully realize that it is impossible to have everything included in our systems that meet the needs of all clubs and organizations. We are willing to listen to any reasonable requests for additions to our base line packages that can be integrated into the base line product. We will not entertain including any of the numerous types of option payoffs that are offered by clubs that are only used by the requesting club but other options will be considered. The programs have the ability to write these non standard options to a flat file that you can then import into a spreadsheet program. You can then use the spreadsheet to compute these payoffs and then input the winners into the 3S system via the Payoff Utilities Menu.
Being shooters ourselves we realize that the best way to keep people coming back you your clubs is to offer quality service, good targets and fair and balanced payoffs generated in a reasonable time frame.
