I'm going to pick up my new MALE puppy on Saturday! I was thinking I'd be picking out a female puppy, but there are none available anywhere. There is a male I'm very interested in and am going to get to see and bring him home on Saturday. I need to name this little guy a name appropriate for a gun toting, clay shooting, duck hunting lady! ;) ;)

Foggy....The last Pom I had looked just like the 4th one you posted. (NOT that rooster headed one!...must be one of your kin??) What a sweetheart of a dog she was! I went back to the Pom because of my 70 lb Lab having hind leg/hip problems and me having to get her up and down 10 stairs to go out. I live in a raised hexagon log home. We aren't getting any younger!! ;) This new one is a parti....black/brown/orange and cream. Can't wait to see him! Still looking for the perfect name.

"Bait" or "chum" are available and good name for a "d-o-g" that was designed by nature to be dragged in the wake of a slow moving boat in search of large trash fish such as Hammerhead sharks..

Now if was a "d-a-w-g" that would be a different matter.

Just kidding don't take it to heart. My wife once owned a Yorkie. Had to forever watch where I stepped. Named him Jasper. Why? I don't know it was HER dog. He died and she went the other way 109# and growing Olde English Bulldogge. I love it to death but had to give up a lot of freedom to have it around. We like to go someplace on a moments notice. We can't do things like that anymore.

You can always stick him in a shell carrier or tote and transport him for a while anyway.LOL

Rock

Jim

I second Boots' suggestion of Gunner. I have an 18 mo. old German Shepherd by that name, but we use the german spelling of Gunnar.

I like "Sabre", don't know why, just do. Sounds manly too, I think. Had a german shepherd by that name years ago. Now have a toy Yorkie, "Spirit" and he is my best friend. (Sabre is pronounced Saber)..

I used to compete in retriever field trials. The dogs must be AKC registered retrievers (Labs, Chesapeakes, Goldens, Flat Coats, Curly Coats, or American Water Spaniels), and have a registered name that goes in the programs, and a call name the handler uses when s/he releases the dog to pick up a mark. My last one was a black lab male with a registered name Casino Barroom Bouncer and call name Bounce. I thought once about getting another male pup about the time of the OJ Simpson trial, but I didn't. I was going to name him "OJ Did It" and use the call name "Killer".

this is actually shotgunfun, my computer is down. So using my son's... Of course, Lucky is our new dog....everyone needs alittle Luck!

Lucky is a cute name.......(or we thought so) and BULLET is cute too. We have a friend who named their little dog Trapper, or that would have been Lucky's name. Shooter is another possiblity.

Bingo is a great name for a dog, so is Stupid and Skippy. After you get them through the first couple of years of life, I am certain that you will really know what to name that furry little guy.
