Thank you so much for the wonderful thoughts of my dad. I used to trap shoot with him. he was my mentor at the Plug & Pellet there in Rockford. I would only shoot 16 yrds with him behind me telling me how to aim and when to pull the trigger. He and my brothers John and Scott were awesome Trapshooters. I remember when we lived in town and after school we would help reload shells with my dad. I remember going into Chicago to National Lead to pick up the lead and clay targets. I remember the Dealers from all over coming to pick up there supplies during our dinner hour, when that was the only time we had with our dad, and we wanted to be a family. I had great parents in John and Yvonne Conevera. They were loving and showed us not to be afraid to follow your dream, cause if you work hard enough for it, Dreams Do Come True...

Way back when I had an FFL I used to trade with Conevera's Guns. They were always nice people to deal with. May God bless you all and accept my deepest sympathies.

Hello! it is so nice to hear from all of you that knew my mom, dad, me and my brothers John and Scott.

Yes it is a terrible loss and he will be missed by Me, his Only daughter, sons and grandkids. I believe my dad is in heaven with my mom, playing poker, shoting craps at a table, playing black jack and most of all hunting ducks, pheasants, deer, and anything he can.

My dad loved his trap shooting. I remember when we would go to the shoots with him, Dominic Paris, Brad Taft, Joe Tanaglia. Louie Michelon, Bob Cupp, John and Jesse Almond, they always paired up. Quite the Team of Trap Shooters There!!!! Whether it be in Bryon on Sunday Mornings or the Plug on Tuesday and Thursday leagues, it was truly a site too watch these awesome competitors and friends. On Friday Nights I think we shot in Pec, oh Im showing my age here. My dad would like to make the rounds also with his Coneveras Guns and Reloading Supplies vest. It was great advertising wouldn't you say!! When I would show up to shoot he would be getting ready to go line up, Brad Taft would be calling out for the team, and he would be smiling and say "Want to shoot a Round with me". whoa! Shooting with a Master! Of course I would say if your paying...

I would always have to laugh when you hear everyone on the line say "ug" and I would say Dad, its sounds more real to the puller if you say "Pull it"! I think he finally came around to my thinking. He made it happen with his dream of wanting his own business. I truly miss this world. It was all I knew. Its just now getting popular here in Nebraska. Grand Island NE holds the State Shoot each yr. If any one ever gets out this way, I would love the chance to say hi and buy ya a cup of coffee. Thanks for listening to my story of John Conevera....Deborah Conevera
