She kept it a secret until yesterday. She voted early and didn't want any of us to know. I can't get mad at her. I know she is a registered Republican, so it was a bit of a shock. She is worried about things people her age worry about. I don't know why, as we will always take care of her. She has seen where that hasn't happened to some of her friends and that drove her vote. I respect her for voting for something/someone that will give her piece of mind on that.

Democrats increased their majorities in both houses of congress, now with their man Oboma in the whitehouse ask yourself, what's stopping them from passing the sweeping new anti-gun legislation that's been on the Democrat agenda for many years? Another thing to consider; Heller vs DC was a 5 to 4 decision in our favor........does anybody really believe that the make-up of US Supreme Court won't take a left turn with justices nominated by an Obama administration and confirmed by a Senate controlled by left wing Democrats?

Rico, The accident in Mass. was a terrible accident and that is all, if the boy shot the uzzi and had a great day, it would have been a time to remeber with his dad. How many parents give there kids a bike and they get killed on it or paralized for life, how many scateboard injuries , every year you hear of a kid that dies on the football field practicing for the upcomming year.

It was a horrible accident, and i am sure that the father is devistated, as I would be . we dont need another law passed.

Obama is going to be so busy trying to get all the deadbeat ass's covered with insurance, mortgages, Medications and jobs he won't have much time to pursue his anti gun agenda's at least for awhile ... I do feel that he will have to attack things based on priority and with the United States in the finacial distress that its in right now guns will not be on the top of that list ... I think John McCain and Sarah Palin will see in short order that them losing this election was not the worst thing that could happen to them and I do feel they should of been America's first choice ... We are told the form we fill out stays at the place of business for 20 years and is not sent into BATF. BUT! If the business trades hands or closes all those forms are sent in to the BATF. They have also been known to frequent gun shops and make photocopies of the forms on file.

If you purchase a handgun here in NV a copy of the form witha serial # is faxed to BATF after the sale.

So gun registration is already in place.

All those that are going to rush out and buy ar15s and ak47s before hussein takes office and signs the ban will probably just have their names at the top of the list for confiscations.

Couple thoughts. . . One of the news stories I saw on FOX stated that 3 Liberal (forgot their names) Supreme Court judges may retire in the next four years. So if they do and they get replaced, the balance of power stays the same. If McCain would have won, these 3 would not have retired anyways, at least not in the first term. . .

The Heller decision well, some have argued what they think will be considered reasonable, hopefully if and when the Dems tax us to hell on our ammo, then the NRA will gain a favorable ruling by the courts stating that these taxes are not reasonable and are in essence a ban. . . and thus contradictory. . . etc. Time will tell. . .

As far as registration, come on guys. . . There are so many guns in this country so let's make believe for a moment that the federal government (who does not have anywhere near enough agents to begin a tasking as an all out gun confiscation) enlists the help of our military and local/state law enforcement then the only probable cause that will be needed to secure a warrant for the blue helmets to come in is the fact that you are a ATA member.

You ever take a state hunter safety course?

I voted for McCain. But....since I can remember (1951)....no Pres. (JFK thru Carter) has taken my guns away. I think there are (at least there should be)more important issues right now for a President.I will venture to say that I'm still shooting trap for 4 more years !If I'm NOT....my guns will be pointed elsewhere.

I would worry about his attempt to tax ammunition and guns as he tried to do in Illinois. He proposed a 500% increase in tax on ammo and guns. Also, another option he will surely try is to have the EPA shut down the gun clubs; due to lead pollution. The EPA would be his easier tool to shut down the shooting sports. (At least in the beginning) Later he can get together with Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, etc. etc and formulate a plan to control the sale and use of guns. I have no doubts that this will materialize. It will just take them some time to get the "ball rolling". Ed
