I;ll buy your trigger
Gee Jack, he sold it to me last Friday and promised to get it out that day and in my hands by "Monday or Tuesday"... Then he told me yesterday (Tuesday) that he had just "overnighted" the trigger - tonight (Wednesday) with no trigger delivered, I stopped payment on the check... Have his PM's to that effect if interested or needed. Sadly, despite his protestations, Jordan Sawaia clearly a flake and a liar. I should have known better, last time I bought from him he had my money for 7-10 days before he found the time to send with his busy schedule of school, new house, wedding plans, etc...
Although by day I'm an attorney and am tempted to make his life generally uncomfortable with an education and exposure for him into to the world of torts, I'm at the age where I realize it's really too much trouble for the small amount and large aggrevation involved. Hope you get your merchandise (that I'd already paid for).
Too bad, typically one expects better on this forum - you and Jim and Rich really set the standard. Perhaps he will straighten up and get his youthful act together - and realize one shouldn't continually make commitments in writing (or otherwise) that aren't kept...
Good luck Jack, hope things work out well on this purchase.
Ample advice. I am attentive to those experienced in the legal ramifications of buying and selling. Trapper2005 is over his head.
Thanks Bob.
Jack
PS to other TS.com members. I am out of this deal and should anyone else consider buying this trigger, figure out a 3rd party guarantee that will actually ship the trigger as promised.
"PM Please" a red flag, maybe?
"...so I fibbed." What's wrong w/ telling a buyer the truth, like: "I got busy today and didn't get the trigger sent off. Will send it tomorrow."
Ship the trigger to the buyer. Once he receives it and is satisfied that it's as advertised, he can mail you a check. No more trust than what you’re asking for. That could prove you’re an honest seller. My unsolicited advise....
I have recently completed a transaction with Mr. Sawaia for a MX 2005. This purchase was for a heck of a lot more $ than a trigger. I ran a search on his past history and I only noticed positive feedback. As a result of this and my gut fellings after speaking with the gentleman, I trusted him with thousands of dollars. During the entire purchase (which happened prior to his trigger issue) he was very helpful, able to articulate a mutual understanding of the agreement and a pleasure to deal with. Not only did he inform me, step by step, of the shipping details, he sent the item a day early. Fed Ex actually shipped the item a day earlier and informed him, he took time out of his busy schedule to contact and advise me. The item was exactly as described, more than I can say about a few other items I purchased from other "Big Guns" on T.S. I feel some of the comments regarding a single transaction were totally out of line. Bashing a relatively new person to Trapshooters for one mistake and dragging him down in the gutter was a over reaction. I have been a College Professor for 30+ years. I have dealt with thousands of students under extreme pressure, who must maintain excellent grades in very demanding programs, in addition to holding down a job to support themselves. The days of Mom and Dad paying the way is now the exception not the rule. Individuals should think back to these days and look in the mirror. We all have made mistakes and Jordan made one. However, he stood up a like a man, admitted his mistake, attempted to correct the situation and never cheated anyone out of their money to my knowledge. I have no reservation dealing with him in the future In an attempt to be fair in this situation, I would suggest that individuals delte/edit comments and let the future speak for itself.
I did jump to conclusions (of a sort)
Jordan has exited and hopeully will return
I have had (2) deals With Jordan and were a SMOOTH as butter. Hope he is not "Banned" for a mistake. Joe joe90t
Let me be clear, my earlier post was accurate in its entirety. At no point did I accuse him of anything he did not admit to on this forum. My earlier post covered two unsatisfactory transactions and two lies on this one - all of which he admitted to on this thread before he deleted the entries. Somehow pointing out the facts, and having him then admit to them, isn't "bashing".
As far as "owning up" - I do believe he was sorry that he got caught and called out. I later had a PM from the guy apologizing for the delay, but not mentioning or apologizing for the lies - which he refers to as "fibs" in his deleted posts - which he said he made because he didn't want to "disappoint" anyone. You disappoint people by not doing what they expect or what you promised, you lie to deflect blame and avoid responsibility.
I'm thrilled that others have had good results in dealing with the guy, my post was a warning or caution to prospective buyers that there are potential hazzards in dealing with this guy.
Nothing was posted by earlier posters that was in the least bit over the top or inappropriate based on what he admitted here to doing - traces of which are now missing at his own hand.
The point wasn't to demonize him, but the last thing this forum needs is someone who lies to close a sale, and/or then doesn't deliver the goods as promised, and then lies about what he's done/not done (sorry, "fibs", which apparently aren't lies because he's really, really a nice guy). Hopefully he'll grow out of it, however based on his earlier posts here and PM's I received, I'm not betting on it at the moment - but it's your money...
rbmtrap I am with you I had one deal with him and it was not good. I don't want to deal with again. I tried to work out the problem and got lies like you. You gave a fair warning good job. Maybe that is what I should have done. Tom
To all that care I didn't know it was the same guy when I contacted him about the AR glad he remembered. He just stated he sold the stock. If you guys remember the stock that was being given away on here and that pheasantsfoever won that is stock that he bought. How did he give away the stock that he sold. So deal with him if you want.
