SOLD-This is a pretty cool 16 ga. Belgian Over and under. It looks like a Francotte type gun but is unmarked and devoid of any maker's name. All the serial numbers match and the barrels are properly proofed. The metal workmanship on the gun is very nice. I'd call it a guild gun, Here's a chance to own a fine quality bird gun at a fraction of the price of a Francotte or Merkel type gun. This gun has 27 1/2 steel barrels with 2 3/4" chambers and a solid rib. It has strong ejectors and the chokes are .020 and .028. The action retails about 40% case colors and is nicely engraved. The screws are in nice shape. The bores are excellent. The double triggers are crisp. The trigger guard is also engraved. It has a Kersten style locking bolt. The gun is tight and on face. The safety in manual. The gun weighs 6lbs 7oz. The wood is decent, but the checkering is worn smooth. Thus gun appears to have been carried a lot but not shot heavily. There are NO cracks in the stock or forend. The dimensions are great--very modern! They are 14 7/16 x 1 3/8 x 2 1/4. THe butt is plain wood--lightly checkered. I've shot the gun at skeet and it shoots right where you are looking ad crushes targets! The barrel blue is a strong 85%. This would make a great pheasant gun. It handles very well and is a pleasure to shoot. Now--here's the good part--You can have this gun delivered for A REDUCED PRICE OF $899 in the lower 48--including California. I'm posting here 1st before putting it on 16ga.com. You guys are great and I like to give you 1st opportunity. Thanks for looking!
