It's looking pretty grim, and someday in the neat future we are going to have to pay the piper

Like catpower said. We will pay the piper if the budget is not balanced. A balanced budget will hurt like hell as well. We cannot afford to police the world. That is going to open up some countries to overrun those that cannot stand alone.

There will be riots in the streets when entitlements are cut. Get your gun and ammo. You will need your protection from those too lazy to work. They will get hungry because the government will not be feeding them.

If spending is not brought under control the dollar will loose its position as the monetary standard of the world. That will set off unchecked inflation. You will spend whatever money you get on the day you get it because it will not be worth anything on the next day.

Where are we going to find some politicians with what it takes to get the country back on the right track? How long do you think they will stay in office? The recall will begin with the first entitlement cut.

We are screwed anyway you look at it.

Oh Puleeez. It's misleading to say that "Congress" won't pass a budget. It's accurate to say the President won't submit one and it's also accurate to say that Senator Reid won't allow a vote on one.

The House has passed budgets, plural, in each of the last 2 cycles. Once the House passes a bill, it must go to the Senate. Oscar Ray has it right. Unless Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid allows it to come to a vote, the budget bill passed by the House is DOA.

Make no mistake folks. Not only must we defeat Mr. Obama, but we must also elect a majority in the House and, ideally, a 60 vote majority in the Senate.

So, go out there and DO IT. Find a candidate in your Congressional District and volunteer to help. If you are in a State that has a Senatorial race, get INVOLVED.

There is no way to pay the debt off. Don't kid yourself. All these government benefits are a ponzi scheme waiting to collapse. Default now and get this ponzi scheme over with. Everyone will need to absorb the pain.....not just the rich.
