SOLD****A beautiful safe queen shooter, this Ithaca 4E trap is in amazing condition; it has been very well-treated and shot minimally. This classic shotgun locks up tight with the lever well to the right. The bluing is vitually perfect, the case colors are bright and the red Ithaca sunburst recoil pad is without wear. The wood has only a few minor handling marks, the most significant being on the left side of the butt stock where he finish has a rather shallow scratch. The LOP is 14.25", and the drop at comb is 1.5" at the nose and 1.75" at the heel. The 32" barrel shoots 60/40 with 75% patterns using STS factory loads. The serial number (404XXX) suggests a manufacture date of 1961. While these trap guns are not uncommon, the exceptional condition of this classic is, rare. From its elegant checkering to the absence of wear on its recoil pad, this gun is fairly priced at $2,500 OBO. Shipping expenses will be 'at cost' from central Pennsylvania to the buyers FFL/dealer. This is about as nice a 4E as you will find. From the condition of the jeweling on the barrel,it is apparent that this gun has been shot very little.
