Looks like it's a shorter barrel. Mine's been fired many times and after a good cleaning, still appears "unfired" and like new. Ah, the beauty of stainless steel for B/P!

Unless this gun was made before 1898, you probably need an FFL to cross state lines. Check it guys!

I've got one just like it with the original Ruger wood grips. These are great guns. You can fill the cylinder all the way up with BP then pack the ball in. I forget the velocity on the 147gr round ball but it came out to 540 ft-lbs of energy and very accurate. Ruger's are built like tanks.
