Wingmaster, You and your comments are part of the problem. Although some are "crying over spilled milk" as you put it, it is few. And it wasn't that it was spilled, it's how it was spilled. The majority of Ohio shooters don't care as is proven by the attendance averages.

Some people just can't help stirring the pot.

Come on fellas. I hope all Ohio shooters come as well, I really do. Bashing each other solves nothing. As pointed out, the Grand is for all shooters from the ATA. This thread is about something else though.

Let's find Foster a ride to the Grand.

My hope is that everyone who is able to attend the Grand will make the trip. It is very well worth it.

I just thought that if there was someone making the trip over already, they may want to share fuel expenses.

I'm very sorry for causing this stir on your post.. I wasn't trying to cause a problem .. but put a bit of humor into things while bringing your post back to the top. Some people don't have a sence of humor and take everything way to serious. I have many friends in OH and I know I will see many of them at the Grand. Again, I'm very sorry if I have caused you any problems.

While I can't say if it will continue, it seems that since nameisjoe (in that and all his other user names) was shown the door, the bashing has stopped.

I hope it continues to be this polite as it gets nearer the Grand.

It's THE Grand, not Illinois' and not Ohio's, but THE Grand.

That being said, it doesn't look like I am gonna make it this year unless something opens up real close to the venue.

We are looking forward to seeing many of our friends and making more friends at The Grand again this year. We hope people can get out and enjoy trapshooting and we will always do our best to promote the sport.

Foster may drive down this year but we thought we might try to see if he could "catch a ride" and pay for some fuel.

IF he ends up driving we will post this information in case someone is looking for a ride down to Sparta. I am sure he would be glad to have someone join him.

Grntitan, you are correct about the duck and goose calling. If someone rides with him bring your earplugs as he will probably be listening to duck and goose calling CD's the entire trip.

We sincerely hope all can attend. For any new attendees, let us know if you have any questions and we will do our best to provide information about The Grand, the area(incredible dining opportunities) as well as any other info.

Barry, I have (3) K-12 schools under construction and all three must have occupancy before August 19th. If the contractors live up to their promises, I may be there. If they don't, I won't make it to the Cardinal shoot either.

I'll probably be hiding in a job traler or linched on some county road.

Never tell an elementary teacher she has 1 day to set up her classrooom before school starts!

I live in Perrysburg, not all that far away from you. I hope to be leaving for the Grand the Friday afternoon, (Aug. 10th) before Grand week (if all goes as planned).

I have to leave Sparta on Saturday, Aug. 18th, wish to be home in P-burg that night. You are welcome to catch a ride, to/from, just let me know, and we can see if something will work for the both of us?

Ahh Rosie, The joys of the construction industry. Feast or famine and you work your fanny off in both scenarios;) Best of luck in making both, the Grand and satisfying the teachers. BTTT for a ride.

My current plans are to leave Ohio next Monday morning, Aug 6 for the Grand. I plan to return on Aug 18. Does Foster need a ride? Where in Ohio do you live? Now I can really stir the OHIO BASHING, TS.BS, I live near VANDALIA and I am going for the whole grand just like I have every year since it has moved!!!!!!!! Send me a PM if you want more information.
