Anyone know of an American made O/U from the 1950's called a Morrone? I am curious about this gun. I read a little bit about it in Double Gun Journal. I have never seen an example of it. Just curious about a gun I know nothing about. Thanks.

The correct spelling is MORON and he called the shotgun his "Whoop-Ass Gun."

Jim-- the Morrone shotgun was a low cost O/U that looked similar to a Marlin 90. Made in CT around 49-51, they only sold a few hundred of them , mostly 12's with a few 20ga. I've seen about 10 of them over the years, but none recently. check out an early 50's Stoeger catalog if you can. They all had non-selective single triggers and I've seen a few with straight grip stocks.
