If I did the above correctly it should take you to an article with a picture of incindiary bullets for rifle.
Can anyone identify the ammo in the picture? Is this type ammo available on the open market for public purchase? I would think that it is a military round that would only be available to the military.
The article is cited in the gunnewsdaily website out of California July 3 listing of gun related articles. It is an interesting web site for many gun related news articles around the US.
Lots and lots of surplus tracer ammo out there. Some of it isn't even marked. You find out when you pull the trigger and then see a fire trail downrange.
It's been a while but if I remember right orange or red tipped bullets were tracers and black were armor piercing. There are several other colors but I don't remember what they were.
