Wondering how may flats on a skid. Will a trucker drop off at a residential garage? Finally what kind of price break is there on a skid load.
Thanx
Phil Berkowitz
ammo i assume? or targets?
ammo must be delivered to a bonified business dock.
Not always true, they unloaded mine at my house and I am not a business.
Federal Top Gun shells...120 flats to a pallet.
If you have an LTL carrier deliver to your house most likely they'll hit you with an "inside delivery charge" Most all of them are union so good luck with getting them to hand handle that many flats. If you have a pallet jack and request "lift gate service" there's an additional charge for that also. Best case senario is to do the lift gate service and rent/borrow a pallet jack to roll the pallet into your garage.
Number of flats depends on the manufacturer. Usually runs between 96 $ 108. Price varies with the distributor. Most are hitting you with a fuel sur-charge of about $20. My distributor requires just one skid to get the distributor price, while some require 2 skids. Still, this is the best way to buy. There should be no price difference in where they drop the shipment, but YOU need to offload.
I just buy from Cabellas when they have a sale and free shipping. UPS wheels it around to my back door. Last order was 20 flats.
I've had LTL deliveries many times to my home, they park in the street and use their lift gate and pallet jack to bring to my garage. No extra charge
For Kemen it is 48 flats.
Doc
Hey Bobski, never heard of a flat of targets. Always called cases. Is that what they call them in Poland?
they don't sell cases any more...that was 20 boxes....a flat is 10...
Hey Juan, who mentioned cases of shells? Your reply has no sense and nobody asked that question.
Pdhil,,
Order through Tom at the club and they will delivery to the club.
