Not this year unfortunately, now it's getting closer I wish I was able to come.

Been 14 times an it still gets as exciting as the first, Matt smoke a couple for me.

We are already planning next summer though, wife says she cannot put up with me moping around with a long face.

For all the lucky one's have a great Grand and stay safe.

Matt I hope the shoulder is good and recovery on track, shoot well and straight, i will watch Stuarts for your name to show up.

You will be missed by many. Are any of your mates gonna make the trip or is the whole group of you taking a year?

Because you asked, my shoulder is doing pretty darn good. I'm working on getting my strength back. It's coming along fine. I'll be read to go for the Grand. I sure wish you were gonna make it. I completely understand why though. Hopefully you get all that straightened out and make it next year.

I passed up a "premium" campsite in the North 40, Grass, concrete pad, picnic table, to be right in the middle (on gravel) of all my Georgia and North Carolina "homies". However, I learned my lesson by attending a late night social gathering at the GA State shoot two months ago and discovered that my drinking abilities are not what they use to be. Therefore, I will bow out of all social gatherings around 10pm every night. I will dedicate myself to Root Beer Floats and Peach Cobblers!

I had planned to go, made reservations and had it all set up with some other club members, besides my diabetes and COPD I have been in congestive heart failure for the last seven years and it is catching up with me, not looking for sympathy but several shooters I hang with are wondering how come I have quit shooting competition and have been extending feelers, guys I just do not have the strength or stamina any more, looks like I will never get to go compete at the grand, shoulda done it sooner.

You all shoot good and have a GRAND time.

Yep that 2 yard reduction didnt last long. I told you I shouldnt have gone to any shoots before the Grand so I could be up close and win everything. Oh wait that's on a different thread. Heading there on the 26.5 and hope to leave there on the 27?

This weather here in Illinois so far has been a month ahead. No snow all winter played golf 3 times in Feb, planting corn in March, corn tasseled and wheat harvested in mid June. I say we are having our early August weather now.

By that reasoning the Grand in August we should be into mid Sept weather, 80 for highs and 60 for lows.

At least we can hope for that.

About 50 kids from the Manchester TN area that used to shoot the AIM Nationals are going to prelim weekend and some into big week. They are competative dedicated shooters that do not want to shoot the AIM kidde "Carnival" so watch out for several good sub Juniors and Jr's in the events Saturday and Sunday.

I will be attending my 44th consecutive Grand along with junior shooting buddies Bob Glatz and Dean Townsend. I have many vendors of products at the Grand and I always go to work the shoot but also try to shoot a little. Can't wait for Christies Pizza, Little York Tavern, the beer tent, ooops sorry wrong thoughts!!! Wrong place.

Matt. My shoulder's getting better every day. I probably could shoot some but I promised the doc I'd wait the full 3 mos. Turns out I think that three months from surgery is about right.

I'd like to see you assist the target setting group setting the elevations according to our height rule!

Sunday before last, I shot some 9 to 10 foot targets on my first 50 and 14 on the second 50!
