An ATA trap shoot is scheduled for L'Acadie (Quebec) this weekend.
The Remington truck will be at the club on 1 July (Sunday).
People will able to shoot and see the new line from Remington.
It's a damn shame that Remington doesn't actively pursue the "target gun" market.
Why is it a dam shame, they never have produced a decent gun except for the T90, oh! , thats right! , they had the T90 produced for them, I stand corrected.
If Remingon was the only gun left to purchase I would just use a sling shot.
Sorry in advance for ruffeling anyones feathers.
Ken
Well you know what they say about opinions. :)
their STS shells are top shelf.
I never thought the 870 trap models were chopped liver. And the 1100 has won many championships, although not my cup of tea. My feathers are not ruffled, I don't own either one, just proving Bill Grill's point! Martinpicker
It's more of a shame in the lack of quality control and customer service in fixing the problems. We have ordered in so many new Remington products for customers over the last several years that had so many flaws and non-functioning guns that we are now telling the customers up-front that they will likely have problems. I hate to say that, because I am so loyal to the older 870's and have just loved the STS line since it's introduction. I am afraid Remington will never be what it was and I cannot see how they can stay in business many more years with what they are placing on the shelves.
ad a 3200 to the 1100 and 870 line
There is no reason the 32-3200 couldn't have been as successful as the K-80 had there been someone with the wherewithal to pursue it. And....there is no reason that the 1100 couldn't be develeoped into a propriatory target gun if someone in management would pull there head out and see what's popular...now!
Can someone that will be there find out from the rep why reloading components are not available? 20 ga wads have been backordered since January!
That picture reminds me Joe of being at Vails Esso on the old trans Canada in New Brunswick back in the 80's one day when the traveling salesman stopped in to take orders for the next season. Something you didn't see down here, the salesman treated you like you were one of a kind, top shelf. Fun times and some great memories.
One of the local gunsmiths tells me that Remington no longer wants him to do warranty repairs as he has for many years in the past. Seems their restructuring wants all warranty work returned to the factory for service. That should mean a couple of weeks longer wait for service and probably shipping charges too. Now, that's good business??

I sent my 11-87 (20+ yrs old) back because the magazine tube came loose. It was back in 2 weeks. No charge to repare tube but $50.00 to reblue the receiver because of the soldering. No charge for shipping.Pretty shabby treatment.
