I just bought a 20yr old Browning BT-99 that cosmetically is very nice but the locking lug is worn to the point that gun will not lock up tightly. I'm looking for what it may cost to have this repaired. Anyone had this done recently? I would prefer to have Factory parts fitted rather than a "weld up". Suggections for a smith that will not take forever to do the job?

Thanks, Marc

I had my Stainless BT-99 Plus rebuilt by browning and it cost me $379.00. A friend of mine has his Citori there right now to be rebuilt and his price is the same $375.00. Thats all springs replaced and all worn parts, the only down side is that the gun will be in thier shop for 4 or 5 months.

Skeet's did this on my Citori. Welded. Best I recall it was a little over two hundred, but that may have included shipping. Honest, fast and expert. Jack

Took my BT 99 to Browning at the Sparta Grand last year. They tightened up the gun & replaced some parts springs etc. Got it back next day. Total cost,$30.00. Clyde Doll
