Does anyone know if any parts from the Marocchi Shotguns would be interchangeable with the Frigon trap guns that have been discontinued? I need the latch portion of the forearm mechanism that holds the forearm on the barrel. Any idea? trufan

I'm in Milan right now.

If you can get me more info (model number, picture of the part, etc.) I can ask a friend what is available...

Unfortunately I can't get a picture to you today, maybe tomorrow. It would be the "latch" part. The metal piece that connects to the "hinge" portion via two screws. One through the wood to the "hinge" and the other screw attaches it to the wood. I contacted Marocchi about the possibility of having discontinued parts on hand and they say they have none. If they don't, I wondered if the Marocchi part would be interchangeable with it. I don't need the hinge or the wood just the "latch" part with the spring and finger pull to release it from the barrel. Thanks for your help!!

Here is the view from the other side. As you can see the spring is broken and it cracked along the hinge pin. Sorry about the double post of the same picture. trufan

I've turned it over to a few friends with guns shops or who are gunsmiths here - As soon as I hear something I'll let you know.

I have asked for either the latch, or a replacement spring.

Trufan, Russ Gould at doublegunhq.com in Canby Oregon is the U.S. importer for Marocchi and has some Frigon parts as well. Check his online store for parts. i have orderd numerous times from russ for Valmet/ Marocchi parts and he is good to deal with.

Sometimes you can make make these springs yourself using metal banding strap.

I've worked on a couple of these Marocchi guns, but prefer not to. My work was in the area of the triggers for a couple of the folks here who bought these from Frenchy many years ago.
