You can use it as a fertilizer, but I am sure someone would be willing to take it off your hands.

Toolmaker has it right, just throw it on the lawn or in the garden. Also he is probably right that someone would gladly take it off your hands and use it.
And TOOLMAKER knows a guy who likes old powder cans.
Matt, Rex powder has only been on the market a dozen years or so, can't see how powder that new going bad. Why waste it, just give it to someone who will get use out of it.
In that case load it up and dispose of it the proper way, send it screaming down the barrel of a gun.
That phrase is hilarious! "send it screaming down the barrel of a gun" The image in my mind will stay with me for days.

smokless powder is nitrogen based. Plants LOVE nitrogen. sprinkle it on your plants.

Anytime we want to get rid of something at our club, we mark it "FREE" set it on a table and it is gone in just a couple minutes.
