Remington figure 8 is my favorite. I have shot a few WT 12 wads, they worked fine.

DRXL 1 1/8 for singles and caps. DRXXL 7/8 for first shot on doubles, and DRXL-1 for 1oz practice loads. Unless they quit making the XL series I don't ever see myself switching to anything else.

I like the Downrange DRA12 in 1oz for my loads. It produces a very nice pattern in my Beretta Unsingle with a Muller U3 choke.

I load any AA/"clone" wad that I can buy in bulk, cheap... AA, WT12, Blue Duster or Claybuster... last deal I stumbled upon were some bulk Blue Dusters in the case... someone was cleaning house - $8/1000 +/-

I'm more particular on my primers and powder...

Jay

My favorite wad was the 12C1. Loved shooting the old Federal Papers with the 12C1 in them , then reloading them with 18 gr. of Red Dot & the 12C1. Was always cool when the little red piece separated and went flying off in some other direction. :-) Can't afford 'em these days. :-(

I settled on the DR Econo wad, after trying CBs and others. It works just as well for me as any other, and is cheap, although not cheaply made.

I've been using the Clay Buster Windjammer's for 1 1/8 & 1 oz. Excellent patterns and crush targets from the 16 or beyond the back fence.

Shoot safely, well and often, Tom
